Rakuhoku High School has many established extracurricular activities including traditional martial arts, sports and cultural activities, in which students participate energetically.

Student participation rate in clubs exceeds 85%, and many of our sports clubs are highly ranked within the country, not to mention Kyoto prefecture. Students work hard together to play active parts in events and competitions at the national level, including handball, soccer, rugby, track and field and Kyudo (Japanese archery).

Our cultural activities clubs also win awards and prizes at various competitions. They participate in exhibits at the National Comprehensive Cultural Festival. Furthermore the Go and Shogi clubs compete in national competitions at the top level.
