Japan Overseas Cooperative Association (JOCA) Osaka Branch Representative Mr. Kawai and staff person Ms. Yoshida gave a workshop to a total of 88 students (all the first grade Global Course students and a number of normal academic course first and second graders). Mr. Kawai, who is a Toba graduate, and Ms. Yoshida spoke about their experiences volunteering overseas for the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) as well as introducing some of the activities of JOCA. Then the students role-played in groups and discussed how people of different nationalities and cultures can get along.
