We visited Nanxiang Old Street, in which old canals and buildings dated back to Song dynasty period remain. We were impressed with the coexistence of the ancient atmosphere and moden lifestles. In the afternoon, we paid a quick visit to a Confucius's Mausoleum in Jiading district, we visited Shanghai Jiading No.1 Middle School, and we gave a presentation about Toba High School and our research projects. After that we had a chance to talk with several students there, so that we deepened our cultural understanding with each other. In the evening, we went to Wai Tan area, which is a famous tourist spot, and we learned the remarkable economic advancement China has been making. The studens are learning a lot through unique experiences that they have only in Shanghai.
