On July 19, the Kyoto High School Spontaneous English Debate Tournament 2025 was held at Kyoto Municipal Hiyoshigaoka High School. A total of 10 students from our school (three teams) took part in the competition.

Teams from seven different schools, including Kyoto municipal schools, competed in the tournament. Among them, our second-year student team achieved an impressive 4th place finish.

Although last year was our first time participating and we were not able to achieve the results we had hoped for, our students have continued to practice diligently every week since the day. We're sure that their steady growth led to this year's success.

We will continue to foster our students' ability to express their ideas spontaneously in English--both through English classes and extracurricular activities--and further develop their communication skills in English. We also look forward to seeing the students who performed so well this time take the lead in guiding and inspiring their peers in future classes and activities.
