Autum Mini Exhibition
“Ancient Life in the South Yamashiro region
– The other Kuni Palace Ruins -”

Date: November8,2025(Saturday) to November24,2025(Monday/Holiday)

Contents: Using artifacts from the Jomon to Kofun periods unearthed during excavations at the Kuni Palace Ruins site as clues, we will explore the historical background of the land on which Kuni Palace Ruins was built.

Winter Special Exhibition
“Everyday items, Past and present”

Contents: This exhibit looks back on the changes in people’s lives, from the time before electricity, gas, and running water became widespread to the present day.

exhibitions and planned exhibitions.

 We hold various events throughout the year!

Children’s Workshop 

In summer and autumn we hold hands-on classes for elementary and junior high school students.
Listening to the curator’s commentary, they learn how to make ancient money “wado-kaichin”,“magatama”, comma-shaped jewels (stones) used to make necklaces, “sannkaku-ennshinnzyu-kyou”,triangular-rimmed ancient mirrors decorated with gods and animals, as well as “dohtaku”, bronze bells.
