Summer vacation children’s experience classes

A curator will provide explanations while you view the actual items in the exhibition room, and you can actually experience ancient craftsmanship.

Date: July 25th (Sat) – August 22th (Sat), 2026

Venue: Kyoto Prefectural Yamashiro Local History Museum
Target audience: Elementary and junior high school students
Participation fee:
Make ancient money “Wadokaichin” 500 yen
Make a magatama 600 yen
Make a mini triangular-rimmed divine beast mirror 1400 yen
Make a mini bronze bell 2,200 yen
*Admission fee for children (participants) included

Capacity: Make ancient money “Wadokaichin” 30 people per session
Make a magatama 30 people per session
Make a mini triangular-rimmed divine beast mirror 18 people per session
Make a mini bronze bell 18 people per session

Lottery: If there are a large number of applications, a lottery will be held. Regardless of whether or not a lottery is held, you will be notified of the results on Saturday, July 18th for A-F, and on Thursday, July 30th for G-N.
The notification will include details about whether you can participate and if you have already applied.
