Jonathan Lusk

Hi! My name is Jonathan Lusk and I'm from North Carolina, which is on the East Coast of the United States. As of this writing I have just arrived in Kyoto and am extremely excited to live and work in Japan! Travelling is one of my passions and I have been to about 20 countries so far, including three separate trips to Japan. I also very briefly taught English while living in Warsaw, Poland. I hope to draw from some of my travel experiences to broaden the students' cultural appetites during my lessons.

　私の名前はジャナサン・ラスクです。アメリカの東海岸に位置するノースカロライナ州から来ました。この記事を書いている時点では、京都に到着したばかりで、日本での生活と仕事にとても興奮しています。旅行は私の趣味のひとつで、これまでに日本への3回の旅行を含め、約20カ国を訪れています。また、ポーランドのワルシャワに住んでいたときには、ごく短期間ですが、英語を教えていました。私の旅の経験を生かして、生徒さんの文化的な興味を広げるようなレッスンをしたいと思っています。

Hello! I am Alex Longthorne from Liverpool,England and I have been living in Kyoto since August. It has been a pleasuremeeting the staff and students of Higashi-Uji Senior High School over the pasttwo months, as well as discovering the wide range of incredible experiencesavailable in the Kansai region. I taught English in South Korea for two years,lived in America for four months and I have traveled to twenty-three countriesso far. I hope I can share my enthusiasm for global culture with my studentsand I look forward to learning more about their passions and interests over thecourse of my time in Japan.
